I wouldn't shoot this idea down so quickly. Boots needs the options right now, being that Ortiz called out Spence for a fight at the AT&T Stadium. It sounds much more appealing from a business side than Ortiz vs Boots.
In the event that he beats Spence (which he should), it puts that much more space between he and Boots from a negotiation standpoint to where they end up offering Boots small coins that he walks away from. So, Boots needs to keep fighting but sprinkle some live bodies in there instead of the Limas and Karens of the world. Stanionis is his best win while Ortiz has fought one hard fight after another.Comment

Agreed. I said this in another thread...I just wonder who and how they're gonna pony up the cash to have these four on the same card. These fights can happen on separate cards of course but the 'fans' have a low attention span so, seeing all 4 on the same night will keep everyone on the same page.
Neither guy in a champion but Boots has the most to prove because Vergil has more viable options that can keep the viewers' attention. Boots is a great watch but we're speaking of 'business' here and Vergil has the money on his side. Oscar has already uttered the dreaded 'a-side' talk so things can get real sticky from this point.👍 1Comment
