why pacquiao should beat cotto.

for cotto to be effective he needs to have a stationary target. pacquiao should prove to be quite a tough target if so. miguel cotto has fought wars and he's been tremendously effective, however he's been successful with opponents that fight his same kind of fight and style. it's the who can hit harder and who can take more, last standing kind of fight. manny is more technical and complex. add to the mix pacquiaos capable punching power and it's a dangerous combination. the only thing that worries me is cotto landing that one shot that weakens manny and cotto capitalizes on that.

what to look for early on? how manny takes cottos punches and cottos speed.

if both turn out to be what we expected (manny to be able to take cottos shot if they land and cotto to not be as fast as manny) then we can expect manny to win.

i'm not putting cotto down as a i respect him very much. he does have a chanace of winning the fight and if it happens i wouldn't be surprised. but in my opinion with all due respect, i think manny is more of a complete fighter is that makes sense. who knows maybe cottos power is enough but you can't hit what you can't see .. or be as effective. i welcome opinion from puerto rican brother and cotto fans as fellow pinoys as well. i will respect your opinion, i love to have boxing conversations with fellow boxing fans. all opinions and points of view welcome. thanks for reading my thoughts.

Speed is why most people favor pac. On the other hand speed is not always effective its been proven many times. Its how pac uses it like he said, he is very hittable and gets wreckless often when he does get hit. I doubt pac keeps his composure when cotto lands especially if he gets stunned if so then pac will get destroyed. If by chance he keeps his plan and moves using combos then he can give cotto a run. I see them both getting cut over the eye...another thing i wanna see how pac handles that hard jab of cotto.
