Seemed like Oscar really pulled for Lubin to be the opponent, paying up to get him. I think it's because all of what people are saying - that he's that guy who has fought good comp, lost, and built himself back up again. Oscar really wants to see Vergil overcome someone serious like that.
Even as a fan of Vergil since early on, and liking all of what he brings, he keeps having these question marks pop up along the way. I pulled back on my hype for Ortiz for like 2 years because all of the odd health stuff was alarming.
Was he ever going to be able to truly trust his body in the heat of a pitched battle? Then we see him rocked and dropped in subsequent fights and the questions arise again. t's only just recently where I am thinking he is truly "back" and, for me, it's really this fight that will be proof of that or not.
I don't see any reason why Lubin couldn't get through to Ortiz if he is not on his game
Good opponents for both guys
