Dominic Ingle not convinced that changing trainers again is the best idea for Anthony Joshua

Always a pleasure listening to Dom speak, one of the few trainers who is grounded and tells it how it is.

Good article, but the thing is "you’ve got to pick out the best in what AJ does and pick out the worst in what he does – and improve the worst in him.” How can anyone improve how chinny Anthony has become? I can remember when he could take a punch and keep going forward. Now he either has to be very cautious and not exchange or leave himself open and be staggered by one punch from anyone who can hit hard.

I wouldn't say he's extremely chinny as in vulnerable to just one punch. He can take a few punches but his mental recovery powers are poor - physically he can get off the floor several times but his physical abilities are beyond his mental ones - for many boxers it's the other way round. So while he's still getting his head together he takes more shots or makes bad decisions. We saw this even back in the Klitschko fight - he was there for the taking but Wlad was incapable of finishing him off. With the Ruiz and Dubois fights he ended up being concussed during the fight. I don't think he'll ever be champ again unless the belts split and he is gifted a belt - but imo he isn't as shot as many think. I'd still have him over Chisora if they were to fight and Joe Joyce.

Judging by Joshua's last fight where he made so many amateurish mistakes who ever trains him has their hands full .Joshau needs to carefully pick his next opponent as he isn't going to get any better. The floors are there they always have been so he needs to face it , he's simply very beatable.
