    Lomachenko and retirement

Vasiliy Lomachenko says his final walk to the ring happened last May in Perth and he knew it. After dismantling George Kambosos Jr. over 11 one-sided rounds to claim the IBF lightweight title, the Ukrainian master chose silence over a victory lap.

I can't deny, I didn't appreciate the dude until the latter end of this career and now wish he was around more often that I could get hyped for his next big fight.

One of the most over rated boxers ever. Great ESPN PR selling his amateur record (that no one can prove) over and over 396-1 so everyone thought he was the next best thing since Ali. Lost to Salido. Lost to Teo. Lost to Haney. Never fought Tank. Never fought Shakur. Retired because of 'no motivation'. Great fighter, yes but not even the best of his generation and never proved he was.
