Mike is in good shape for an old guy but he can barely move anymore and in reality he was a possible threat for the first three rounds, after Jake could have landed at will on him and laid him out. Jake isn't a great boxer but he hits hard and has natural athletic ability.

Jake gave Mike a great payday and for that I commend him. The entire event was nothing but buildup and fake stuff to get people to believe that it was a real fight. I love Tyson and grew up in his era. Jake Paul is not a bad guy, he just plays one for money. He is an entertainer.

The fight was obviously a farce IMO.
      Mike doesn't need money.

Mike's making a ton of money from medical marijuana & Tyson University

Bread’s response: People ask me about Toney all the time. He’s not just a HOF, he’s an ATG. Toney is from the cloth of Archie Moore, Ezzard Charles and Jersey Walcott. Toney was an old school, anywhere, anytime fighter. He had one of the best mixes of offense and defense I have ever seen. He has one of the best chins I’ve ever seen. He has one of the best counter right hands I have ever seen. He’s as confident a fighter as I have ever seen. He’s one of the top 5 fighters of the 90s. He’s a top 5 super middleweight ever. He had the best run of quality opponents in the 90s from 1991-94. He’s one of the best late round fighters I’ve ever seen. And his performances in the Nunn, McCallum 1 and 2, and Jirov fights will stand the test of time. James Toney is one of them ones.
Uh-oh, nobody tell Iron Dan about this

Notice the difference in IQ on social media and boxing sites.

On social media the rabid Tyson fanboys are even worse as they claim TYSON held back against Paul and could have ko'd him at any point.

On here it's the opposite, and I don't know how anyone with an IQ higher than a rodent couldn't see that Tyson was a sluggish, elderly man that Jake had pity on and could have KO'd him at any point, yes even in round 1 when the decripit shadow was 'fresh'.

Exactly. There was no bombs away because Jake wouldn't, and Tyson couldn't. The saying I made up is those "fans" barely have an IQ above a dead frog. And to make it worse, they are hardcore dellusional.

Mike was worth an estimated 10 million before the fight. He has health issues and may well live another 15 to 20 years. He made $20 million for the Paul fight and it put him in a position to where he never has to worry about anything again. Wasn't saying he was broke but he and Jake have been friends for a long time and the event was obviously nothing but a hype show money grab.

Tyson can still hit a heavy bag and pads for five minutes. Paul knocking him out would have been mugging an old man. The fight was never a serious things. It was to make Tyson a payday and pad Jake's bank account, and it was obviously agreed upon that Paul would not hit Mike with anything big.

The most obvious fixed match I have ever seen. I loved Mike as a kid though so glad he got a payday that has given him absolute security as he grows older.

ODH agreed to meet at a catchweight of 145 and was massively drained. Just like when Leonard fought Camacho. Both ODH and Leonard fought at higher weights before the weight drop - NEVER go down in weight! Jones as well as Chris Byrd did the same thing and were in bad shape. History is littered with these examples.
Jones and Byrd really just got old more than anything else, Jones really didn't put on any significant weight moving up to heavy and even later fought at 169lbs. Byrd has admitted to eating up to be over 200 and was a little flabby in those fights, he should have always been at 175.

My point still stands, Jones didn't acclimate back down in weight slowely, he dropped down too fast at a later age and it was muscle and not fat that he was losing and when that happens, muscles atrophe and this ages an older fighter more than anything. And Byrd had taken punches from heavyweights and dropped weight fast and couldn't even take the punches of a 175 pound fighter that was not known as a puncher. These thing happen when older fighters drop down in weight. History proves this.

He just didn't cut weight for one fight, its ok he got older and Tarver was really good with power in that straight left not to mention a big 175lber. So he comes in at 193 for a fight where he was fully clothed and with sneakers on who knows what in his pockets. He didn't have to lose anymore weight than normally going back down. You could be right about Byrd, could be he just got older probably a little of both. He has stated he walks around naturally at 189lbs and was eating up to 205 where he was normally coming in at so 175 isn't a huge cut.

Its a huge cut if it is done way too fast. He let Tarver's noise get to him and that was a big mistake. Tarver was putting on loud mouth displays the whole time Jones went up to heayweight and that was a thorn in Jones' side. Jones lost muscle weight in his shoulders and back areas especially and his ring walk showed his skin had a grey tone to it and he was gaunt. I knew from his ring walk he was not the same fighter. Bad decision caught up to Jones.
