Excellent fight to start off the New Year. I know there are some that speculate that Muratalla might drop the belt before the fighters step under the ropes on January 24th, but there are others who presume the bout will carry on as scheduled, due to it being a significant purse for the young champion. Either way, I sure hope to see it, as both are excellent boxers.

Should be a good fight. I have Andy Cruz winning this one. He has too much in his arsenal for Raymond, in my opinion. Muratalla had problems with Tevin Farmer's movement just a few fights back and while Farmer is very good, Andy Cruz is in his prime and he has more punching power. But, Muratalla definitely has a chance. He's big, strong, young, and determined. And has some skills and a great corner, too.

Cruz by somewhat of a Schooling. Muratalla is skilled enough to make it interesting by going to the body, But Cruz is quicker, and will make him miss and score more points. Interesting to see if Cruz Gasses in the second half of the fight, since he was such a loong time 3 round fighter.

            Love this fight

Both Schofield and Cruz would be tough matchups for Muratalla, but i thought the one with Cruz might be more winnable.

I thought Cruz's last opponent Mishiro had a decent approach on finding an angle to land a right hand on Cruz as he slips off to the side; he had to extend on them, but landed a couple and got Cruz's attention on one of them (only momentarily though). it was more about the angle of approach imo.

I just thought that might be something Muratalla might be able to try as well. But he'll have to make them count and really hope he gets through more than Mirshiro did. We'll see.

What can Muratalla get in before Cruz starts to open up?

Muratella is a good fighter, but he has nothing that will trouble Keyshawn Davis's Cuban Daddy. Cruz by TKO in 9.

Email belts - easy come, easy go. Muratalla is about to loose his. Can't believe he accepted this fight.
