Respect to Kelly stepping up against a guy like this. I haven’t watched any of Murtazaliev yet but sounds like he is currently THE guy at the weight.

Tough division for him though. Boots and Virgil are guys that can drown Kelly’s style. Idk how he’d fare against Fundora, he could definitely close the range and would have a speed advantage but only for half the fight.

He is not THE guy. Watch some of his fights and you'll agree. He's good, but as I've said many times before, any of the top boxers with good footwork/movement and some power on their punches will defeat this guy.

This is the right question to ask. Eddie is the promoter of both. He should have made that fight.

Eddie is not Bakham's promoter. Kathy Duva of Main Events is. Small outfit that has had some big names in the past, most recently Sergey Kovalev.

Who has he fought other than an overachieving Tim Tszyu who can’t fight? After Josh Kelly is through exposing him.

Then the boxing public alike would discover that this Murtazaliev was only a one hit wonder after all.

I agree, mostly. I don't know if Kelly is the guy to expose him, though. Maybe.
