What do you think of Atlas as a trainer? He did nothing for Grant and I think Moorer was a better fighter when he was under Steward. Moorer lost his real vicious streak when Atlas took over. Grant had more success before Atlas came into the picture. Tucker thinks Atlas is overated as a trainer. Do you agree with TNT's thoughts on this matter. Later brother brologs.

Emmanuel Stewart built kronk from the ground up. That speaks volumes and should garner him atleast some respect. Atlas, I dont know much about. Moorer was a huge power puncher but that was in the light heavyweight division. Moorer has never been one to throw a thousand punches in a fight, thats just his style. But instead of blaming atlas for moorers short comings you might also consider that Moorer is getting older and he might not have his heart in it the same way. Ofcourse Atlas may be to blame for his decline, I dont know. Just wanted to bring up other options for Moorers seemingly lacking skills and power in the recent past........Rockin'Comment

There was a time there before Atlas got him that Moorer looked almost as intimidating as Tyson. That 1st round in the Alex Stewart fight was scary ****. I didnt see moorer for a few years. I do remember going down to watch him at Cobo Arena when he was coming up as a light heavy. Honestly, that guy was awsome at lightheavy. Like I said before he never threw many punches but when he landed people dropped. I have never been as impressed with Moorer at heavyweight. He put the possible greatness at light heavy to the side and went to the heavys where the money was at. Atlas could very well be the problem, I just was not able to watch his fights to notice the decline. I did see him against Jirov, he didnt show much until he caught him...........Rockin'Comment

Steward should get all the credit for everything he did building up Kronk, and for what he did before 1990. He was the man who taught tommy the hitman hearns how to box after all. From day one.
But since 1990 he has been riding off great boxers who were allready great before he got there.
Teddy Atlas should get props for putting a gun to Tyson's head when Tyson tried to bone his 14 year old little sister. But he is like the B minus version of Cus D'matto in my opinion.Comment

Didnt Moorer have some alcoholism and depression problems during the Atlas era? He never did seem fully focused like he was as a light heavy. I saw him just obliterate Leslie Stewart at light heavy back in the day and he never really had that intesity that much as a heavyComment

I do agree that Kronk has been rather dry for the last decade. But Steward is still involved in that program. And he has some extremly good ones coming up in the amatuers as well as beginning pros. To think that he could reduplicate what he did in the 70's and 80's would be self defeating. But Emmanuel most definately knows the game and just about every inticacy involved in it. I hold him in the highest class as far as training fighters goes. And his knowledge shows by what he has passed on to the full time trainers down at kronk. Believe me, the knowledge is still down there in that little basement room. They are just waiting for the right piece of clay to walk through that door so that they may mold another champion. The one to keep your eyes on in the future is a young amatuer named Vernon Barrett. The kid has the goods and the kronk team is molding him just as they should..........Rockin'Comment
