    Idk about Spence.....
    Why wouldn’t Spence?

I find it hard to believe his inclusion into the hall of fame hinged on that ONE Crawford fight. Before that vicious whooping he took, Spence was being heralded as a Margarito-esque bricklayer (no pun intended) that could actually box (see his Mikey Garcia fight).

Spence held 3 of the 4 belts and was never in danger of losing any of his fights save that Porter fight which was neck and neck up until the knockdown.

Wins over Kell Brook, Chris Algieri, Mikey Garcia, Danny Garcia, Shawn Porter, Ugas.

If Vinny Paz can get in, Spence for sure can. And even if Paz hadn’t, Spence would get in. A lot of people currently hold Spence in low regard because he’s been inactive for over two years and the last time we saw him he was obliterated by Crawford. He should just stop sulking over that and just hold his head high that he just lost to an all time great.

      ^^^THIS.

Everybody was talking about Mathysse and how he would just demolish Danny when they announced their fight under Floyd/Canelo. I was one of the few people here picking Danny based on amateur experience. The fight was close but Danny knocked him down and controlled better.

It's hard to say. The dude had some B+ level wins but always fell short against the elite. Forget the Morales wins. If Morales was an aged and dying warrior against Pac in their 3rd fight, I'm not sure what he was considered when he fought Garcia.

He never had anything flashy about him. His speed was not bad but not great. His power was not bad but not great. His movement was pretty stiff usually, yet it worked for him. I'll say, he did have a world class chin about him though. He faced some punchers.

So then we can go back to the topic of, well if Gatti got into the HOF, for sure Danny can. So then it comes down to entertainment value that he brought. For the many losses Gatti took, he always brought back the fans no matter who he was facing or how many times he lost. Danny's fights were "Good". Not super entertaining, but not boring either. His Amir Khan win was hella exciting, but that happened a round before the end of the fight.

Looking at his other fights, they were like if you compared a boxing match to jogging on a treadmill at a reasonable pace where you aren't going to get tired that quickly and can keep going while watching something.

Danny didn't KO him, it was a close fight (114-112 on two cards) ultimately decided by a knockdown in the 11th round when Matthysse got caught up in the ropes.

If there was no knockdown, it would've been hard to pick a winner. As it was, Garcia just edged it. Matthysse spent much of the fight with a swollen eye.

            Good to see you back.

Yeah that’s right. That said, that win was huge given how Matthysse was deemed the next big thing by a large segment of NSB because he was a non American power puncher.

Yeah, Garcia derailed the Matthysse hype-train and his big head took Matthysse's punches really well. I don't know if he's quite HOF-worthy, and he wasn't as effective when he moved up, but overall he has a good body of work.

Campbell, Holt, Morales, Khan, Judah, Matthysse, Herrera*, Peterson, Malignaggi, Guerrero, Vargas, Rios, Benavidez Jr.

*most thought he lost this bout
