I hope the consequences of what he did haunt him & motivate him to address the issues behind his behaviour.

Unpopular opinion I know. Far easier to just beat your chest and demand that justice is served in the form of revenge.

Where's the deterrent to other people to not behave in the same way? Because of how car-centric our societies have become people are blase when operating what remain dangerous and powerful machines. Driving them under the influence, staring at your smartphone, etc. is illegal for a reason. It doesn't take much for lives to be wiped out and permanently changed.

You need a deterrent to stop you behaving in a reckless manner?

the answer to the is of course

the guy fell asleep when the cop was trying to assess him, he could not even stay awake

if u choose to drive a lethal weapon in those hands in that condition u deserve some punishment & not what he got

              speeding is reckless

u dont think speeding tickets, fines, bans if caught etc are needed or is it better to just let everyone drive at what ever speed and however they like?

maybe just loaded up as well, which is reckless too

reckless people should do stuff on their own time, take a walk instead the worst u can do is stumble into someone else i guess, noone wants to cross paths with out of control junkies behind a wheel, thats why laws are needed, they just are not enforced in this case for some odd reason, surely someone can appeal this farce

You wilfully misread my post in a reductive way in order to avoid answering substantively?

the sister summed it up quite well

“I blame the defendant, his attorney and his financial backers for stalling, delaying and abusing the legal system to protect a coward and loser who refuses to take responsibility,” Prescott said. “If you did not know, since the crash, Mr. Gunn had a book written about his life and it’s set to become a movie.”

                    wow

& the legal system allows this crap

                    shameful

i think he might have got banned from driving for 1 year but not even sure about that

"Salem County Assistant Prosecutor Meghan Price noted that her office wasn’t happy with the plea agreement, but said repeated defense motions delayed the case and made a conviction at trial difficult.

“This is one of the oldest cases in the vicinage at this point. And with time comes the loss of evidence, comes the loss of witnesses, and the case has certainly grown weaker over time,” she said.

The case was dogged by delays for years, which the prosecution previously attributed to Gunn. In addition to changing attorneys, he missed some court dates, prompting the court to issue a warrant in 2022."

What a total farce, i mean that would drive u nuts, 6 years down the road and he walks of scott free

Professional boxer Robert “Bobby” Gunn admitted he was under the influence of fentanyl in a crash that killed a woman and permanently injured her husband.
