Was it necessary to piss Valuev off?

I understand why Haye wound up Wlad, to get him to come out and swing more and leave himself open but Valuev is only gonna fight one way anyway, so why piss him off to this extent?

Cuz Haye talks ****. Then talks some more, and more, and more, and more. That's what he does.

YEs, becasue he is the last CroMagnon and Haye must eliminate him.

Maybe he wants more attention to grow a larger fan base?

That's the only thing I can think of off the top of my head....

That's definitely the answer. He's not just promoting this fight, he's promoting his career.

Valuev seems to be the type that'll be easier to fight when you don't try to anger him but instead act like respectful all the way (like Holyfield). He has enormous physical advantages over any man he faces but he doesn't use them.

Haye may have "awakened" the giant although I suspect we will see yet another uninspiring performance by Valuev.

I think Haye just likes to start up stuff to get himself hyped and to sell the fight. If he gets people to talk about him then hes doing a great job of that
