    In the movie, "When We Were Kings", it talks about how Foreman lost the crowd as soon as he got off the plane. He had two German shepherds with him, the same kind of dog that the whites terrified the blacks with there (and here too, for that matter).

      Yes I remember that too. But I think Ali was going to charm Africa to his side anyway, whether they were german shepards or poodles or chihuahas. Foreman was introvert then and not good with public relations... until George 2 figured it out.

        That's true, Ali had a charisma and charm that even his haters admired. Foreman at the time, seemed like an unemotional, soft-spoken killer.
