Jai is trash why wont he just unify with zurdo already, its what people want and its a former light heavy should be easy for him if he was any good.

do you follow boxing at all? zurdo is injured and had an overdue mandatory. he didn't want to unify with jai before that either. wbc is a mess. badou jack, mikaelian, rozicki, peralta and cieslak are all involved in a never ending cycle of rematches and mandatories. they consider wbc route easier road to a title than jai and rightly so. i don't like it either. that leaves billam smith but he wants wbo interim. mosquea is the best other option but people never heard of him too. everybody would say the same thing if jai fought him instead of this mandatory. if they are cheap this is the best he can get in the ring.👍 1Comment

I think elfag is one of many long term posters on here who became jaded with the sport and just logs on to leave abusive posts about fighters.

In three years he could have lobbied and fought guys that other fighters have. As a fighter, you're in trouble if Zurdo has a better resume in this division alone. I've seen a number of best fighting the best. Like Crawford, Fulton, Bivol, Beterbeiv, etc., etc., etc. Not always the org's. But one top name in 3 years is not excusable. It is very clear to me he has not made as huge an effort as he could, despite being potentially near PFP status. Waiting to see what he does to change that. He could still take an offshoot heavyweight fight with a mid to low lever contender and even move there where the money and fame are. It's time he steps out of his comfort zone. He and Zurdo need each other once Zurdo is healed but the money is just a couple pancakes and a big roast beef of weight added to make his mark at heavyweight. Or try to get someone willing to come up from 175.Last edited by richardt; 10-03-2025, 09:48 AM.Comment

What guys those? Looks like you attempted to avoid answering a pretty simple question with an irrelevant wall of text. If you don't have any names it's okay to just say so, it's not that deep.

Jai's two wins over Briedis are at least on a par with Zurdo's over CBS and Dorticos.Comment

Zurdo's name opponents were recent and were name, Jai's were past and Jai could have lobbied hard to at least fight the name guys Zurdo well before Zurdo fought before him like Chris Billiam-Smith and Dorticos since he was a champion longer than Zurdo! On top of that, he could have taken a side heavyweight fight to see where he could stand at heavyweight. Until he leaves his comfort zone, he is still a guy that has only 1 top name in his reign. Stop making excuses for him.

It's not about making 'excuses', just about taking a realistic look at things. I've already made clear I think Jai - CBS should be the fight whilst Zurdo heals.
