No next face of boxing in Mexico for some years I believe, though I do think there will be eventually.

As much I like Espinoza, Nunez and Medina, I don't think they have that level of markability, and while they are the world championship level, they likely will not be recognized as these elite P4P fighters that can fight that much higher weight classes or utterly dominate every top level opponent.

I do think they will will hold it down by making some big fights for the boxing Mexican fan base. Also some fighters like Cruz, Ramirez and other world ranked contenders that might win a title for a period of time.

Rafael Espinoza is set to return Nov. 15 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico against a WBO ranked fighter in a title defense. It was rumored that it was against Luis Alberto Lopez, but a journalist commented that might not be the case, yet to see.

Navarrete vs Suarez 2 fell through (bad news), and now the fight between Nunez and Navarrete is being done for February-March (good news), quite likely in Los Mochis or Mexico City. The winner could fight Suarez.

Christian Medina is aiming to fight Seiya Tsutsumi, but Seiya has plans on fighting Antonio Vargas. So it could be a unification later on if he is successful. But according to the WBO rankings, Juan Francisco Estrada as ranked #2 there, so a title defense of Christian Medina vs Juan Francisco Estrada could really catapult the winner.

Marketable and quite fundamentally sound would be Marco Verde if he doesn't get derailed by meeting his match early on, he was really well backed during the Olympics, the videos on the net which got taken down had the range of 1-3 million viewers and his pro fights have 200-500 K viewers. He also competes at Middleweight, where many light Middleweights might move up there.

If Brandon Mosqueda wins the WBC Grand Prix Tournament in the featherweight section, I think he will get big backing and I do think he is very skilled, kind of reminds me of Marco Antonio Barrera during his super bantamweight run.
