Well, it did once with Primo Carnera. Today it happens a lot - Floyd, Wilder, Canelo... Once the counterfeit star is fabricated, then it takes fake fights with hired patsies and divers to sustain the revenue stream. Tank Davis has been selected to be hired for the next role of the patsy who will tank the fight for the money machine. Tank needs this payday because his own star power is fading and profits decreasing because he's run out of his own patsies and divers to hire to con the public and he still will not fight any of the big names like Teo, Haney, Stevenson, Inoue, etc.

If anybody here actually pays to watch this Jake Paul vs the midget fake fight you need a brain transplant. True boxing fans should boycott this clown show or be paid $1000 for their time to watch this BS.

the people he attracts aren't interested in watching other boxing matches though. they certainly aren't "fans" of boxing. i'm not even sure what paul's demographic is, i've never heard anyone talk about him in real life except for "did you hear mike tyson is fighting logan paul?". either way, the people he brings to the sport care as much about real match-ups as hardcore fans do about the circus events...maybe even less.
