Was thinking the same thing. The article makes it sound like he has replaced two trainers with a guy in a "managerial role", a "matchmaker" and an "advisor".

Tim got hit so much coming up in those Aussie domestic fights before he became known through the Harrison and Mendoza wins, fear for his health if he keeps fighting… hasn’t adjusted his style, hopefully he can do it but it’s gonna take a lot of work..

Considering he's a cone forward fighter with limited skills, it's over.
As much as I wish I could disagree - he should have fought with the heart he showed in the Murtz fight and the first Fundoa fight - also in the second Fundora fight. But he quit. His heart was cracked as you said, and the chin already cracked

Not many boxers can truly change their style...some have for sure. The old style Barrera would have been knocked out by Hamed, but when Barrera changed and showed some great, dormant boxing skills, his whole career changed, and it worked against Hamed. I could be wrong but I dont see that happening for Tysu. Not a knock on a pretty damn good fighter though. But without elite skills and questions on his chin and heart.........

When they talk about matchmaking, what they are saying is " we must avoid all dangerous fighters so we can milk this hype boxer who lost his shine." There were already signs that Tim was not truly elite. But we/they chose to ignore them... The first one was how much he gets hit. The second was the Terrell Gausha fight. The third was his candid attitude towards being in wars. Oh well.. at least he made money.

You know a fighter is lost when the focus in now on a "super team"....unless he's able to tag them in when he's getting handled

I highly doubt this team will make the adjustments Manny made with Vlad.

He fought with the same heart in the second Fundora fight as he did in the Murtz fight but he was getting buzzed repeatedly and in the final round of the 2nd Fundora fight Tzyu was out on his feet (totally concussed and ready to be KO'd cold). His chin looks like it's been cracked and he's unable to withstand the beating that he was previously able to withstand. The repeated heavy knock downs from Murtz are likely a big part of the reason the Tim can't handle the abuse anymore. He suffered a sustained, brutal beating in that fight. His cornermen were irresponsible for allowing that beating to continue.
