  • Should Jermain Taylor Retire?

4 losses in his last 5 fights with 3 by KO.
He doesn't seem to have it anymore, and I'm starting to wonder how he ever got past Hopkins twice.

I can imagine him struggling against all in the super 6 tournament.
Should he hang them up once its finished?

I'd say he should retire. I didn't actually think his fight was all that bad against abraham. He would have lost on points either way, but he made it a fight for sure. Also he was beating Froch, but yes, the KO kinda makes me think he should just retire.

No, and I think it's ridiculous to suggest such a thing. He's only 31, and has only lost 4 fights. Losing happens when you face top competition.

He still has a lot left, he shouldn't.

if he wants to keep fighting, i think he should have a couple of tune-up fights and see how it goes and then decide.

Abraham knocked him out brutally. He can't beat upper echelon fighters anymore. I think he should hang them up to avoid future injury.

Taylor needs to take a little time off and figure out how he can improve his game to keep up with the top fighters. Seems like they have figured him out and he hasnt adjusted very well.

He can bounce back from that loss, the only problem is that he's just starting this tourney against top competition, no tune ups. He could be ruined after the tourney.

If Taylor gets knocked out one more time within 20 seconds of the end of the 12th round, he seriously needs to hang them up ...

He has got KO:d three times the last time real bad, he should listen carefully to his doctors before he decides what to do. If he still has what it takes to get back on top and decides that it's worth the risk then do. What he should consider also is that maybe he dosen't got what it takes to beat the elite fighters anymore and he risks ending up badly hurt or a gatekeeper who takes beating for little money.
