Why is Floyd waiting for the Cotto ******* fight before he makes a decision? He is my favorite fighter of all time but im starting to think that the Marquez fight wasn't exactly a tuneup. Hear me out on this:

If he waits til the winner or pac and cotto and lets say it is pac... do you know how long negotiations for this damn fight is going to take?? This fight won't happen til prob april or may. thats a pretty long damn wait in between fights if marquez was just a comeback tuneup fight dont u think? I like marquez a lot and if he embarrassed jmm for a friggin paycheck, im going to be pissed!! Why doesn't he just go ahead and fight mosley at the end of january and he could fight the pac cotto winner in may?

Plus just come out and say who you wanna to fight?? I'm sick of these very vague answers he gives in every interview and its been a month now since he fought. Im growing very very impatient and I wanna see my boy fight damnit!!

The fight would be in April or May anyway because they would promote for months.

i never thought of that at all... cuz if he comes out and says he will fight the winner of that fight than the mainstream will buy that fight to see who will face floyd.... never thought of that at all

basically whoever comes out victorious from that fight, will become the opponent to fight. the value of whoever comes out victorious will double.

you have two scenarios:

manny wins (let's say he makes a deal with the devil): everyone will want him to face floyd more than they do now. there will be no doubts. the bandwagon will become even bigger. it'll add that much more to his already established value. it'll become that much bigger.

cotto wins: will steal the pacquiao hype train and will make it bigger (depending on the way he beats pacman of course). a victory over pac and people will quickly process this : cotto beat pac, cotto > pacquiao. people will start hyping him like crazy and casual fans will start researching cottos career and fights. they'll notice he's been in wars etc etc.. people will get behind him. it'll be the fight to make no doubt about it.

floyd makes money anyway and more than he would've made before it. not to mention the hype for the fight will be bigger.

If that does happen and both pac and may will and should not complain about 50/50 split. Either one can not afford to be greedy. Way too much money, but either way Pac and Floyd will makes less cents cause of Bob Arum and GBP.
