Its a way of loosening up the arms.....

It loosens up the shoulders and give them a better stretch.....

Also, fighters tend to throw the jab lower later in the fights, so in training, while shadow boxing they will throw the punches higher to build up a sort of muscle memory.....

you misunderstand, froch was hitting the air so hard that the air was force back onto direll nose causing the nosebleed.

poor air......it never stood a chance, air has no defense at all other than hurricanes
