This fight is a typical barometer of the health of boxing here in the US:
We have so many outlets for streaming live to fans, yet we're only two days out and nobody has picked it up. Same for Inouye vs Akhmedaliev, which was only announced to be on the relatively obscure Top Rank boxing Facebook page at the last minute. Yeah, THAT Inouye, emerging as a consensus ATG (in my humble opinion), and a fighter who should be seen by everyone.
Not that Paro is going to be an ATG, of course. But a world-class recent titleholder's fight not even broadcast in the biggest market of all? It's a disgrace that we are coming to be dependent on the blood money of a despotic regime to follow a sport that, ironically, and historically, has been one of the most accessible and (small D) d*e*m*o*c*r*a*tically participatory professional sports in the world.
