Canelo has never learned to punch in combinations

That was his undoing tonight. He has many great qualities...good technique, great defense, good speed, accuracy, a well rounded fighter, a great fighter.

But his technique has always been around fast, single shots. He zings in fast 1s or 1-2s and that works well against slower fighters, but its been an achilles heel in quite a few of his fights, even fights he's won.

There were times tonight, especially in the second half of the fight, when Canelo got his feet where he needed to, but he has never learned to put punches together like other great Mexican fighters. I think Crawford has an underrated corner and they exposed this flaw tonight, Crawford stood on the inside and got the better of exchanges, and that bagged him some crucial rounds.

Great performance and a great fight

he used to throw combinations when he started out

when he went to 168 is when he really changed his style and sat down on punches a lot more

Tonight’s final 3 rounds reminded me of the last 3 in Saul Bivol

Saul opponent stopped giving a uck stood in the pocket and outfought him on the inside too

I believe this was the secret Bomac was alluding to months ago.

Canelo throws a single shot, then gets overwhelmed with combinations while his feet are stuck in sand.

Pretty embarassing for a veteran with 70 pro fights. He fought Bud like a novice.
