another scary guy that people will say canelo has to take care of,

we are currently putting in great work against another cuban supermiddleweight contender yoenli hernandez.

it would be nothing to take a step sideways from hernandez, and down from crawford, to fight this guy iglesias. in other word, canelo spar with guy as good or better than him as it is.

canelo might advise yoenli he can beat iglesias,

Canelo hasn't been fighting any scary guys since bivol though. He's been fighting the scrubs. Even if he had fought benavidez, up next is Iglesias. That's how boxing works.

All these 168 contenders could always try fighting each other.

That never seems to happen though.

Scull fought shishkin and that was good enough to get a canelo fight, he didn't even deserve to win either lol. I'm sure canelo will fight Iglesias who beat shishkin legit

What about Mbilli and Sheeraz? There’s a lot of contenders in that weight class. Don’t just sit around waiting for the Canelo lottery ticket.

Why don’t you want the top contenders to fight each other?

Although I think Canelo would be a step too far for him (due to his iron chin, experience and superior boxing IQ), he MIGHT be the next best guy in the division.

I hope he ends up fighting either Sheeraz or Mbilli next as somebody's '0' has got to go (probably by KO).
I think Canelo, or any other fighter in the division would have their hands full with Iglesias. Not only that, I'll bet that Canelo will never face this kid, just like he didn't face Benavidez nor Morrell Jr when they were in the same division, and if he did he would have to endure a lot of punishment, this kid as fast Scull but would throw punches with intent and not run, Canelo has, as a fighter one attribute and that's his chin, he ain't a one punch ko artist, slow on his feet and good defense against mediocre to good opposition, and the proof is in the pudding, Lara, Floyd, Bivol and ggg all touched him often, looked clueless. Every of those boxers had one thing in common, they knew how to box and were faster than ginger.

You don't know what you're talking about, there's no evolution, the only difference is that this wave of fighters has defected younger hence the transition we are seeing. And some of them like Andy Cruz and Robeisy like to fight in the pocket, even though they defected older than Herrera, Teller, Morrell Jr, Iglesias etc... Rigondaux was like 29yo with 400+ fights rooted deep into the amateur style that gave him countless medals, Lara too, although he was a little bit younger than GR, he had over 300 fights, still when they found a dancing partner they willingly go for it, actually Lara was involved in two fights of the year, and then you have Gamboa with 300+ fights but like to exchange.

Tell canelo to vacate the belts and you will see the young bucks fighting for supremacy. Open your eyes and admit that canelo/wbc/wba/who are the problem, not the kids waiting for their turn.
