Europe v USA is GOOD for Boxing !

I mean look at the fire on this forum. For the most part, you have blind brits and euros sticking up for Froch (some very blindly) and you have blind yanks sticking up for Dirrell (im an aussie, **** in the middle )

This rivalry is good for boxing.

Nothing gets the passion going more than Europe v USA, from the Ryder Cup to the Mosconi Cup to the Webber Cup and more, Europe v USA competions are always intensely competitive.

It's just a shame for this particular tournament that Chad Dawson couldn't have come down in weight to participate. That would have made it pretty even but as it stands now, Euros have the 2 best fighters in the tournament (Abraham and Kessler)

It's all good banter in my opinion, until people start to take things too seriously and actually get offended which just kills it.

I think the Yanks and Brits have a love-hate relationship. We make fun of fish and chips and they make fun of cheeseburgers. All in all I think it's a good thing too. Some of the coolest people on this forum are Brits and Euros and I wouldn't have known unless I debated them.

Showtime hasnt hidden the fact they wanted it like this
        3 americans vs. 3 europeans.
This maybe good for boxing but not good for boxing in America.
Over here the only way you get tv play is if an American is winning. So far we are 0-2 and i have not seen a SINGLE highlight on ESPN. When Mayweather fought Marquez i saw highlights....good old media

It isn't a rivalry just yet. Europe still has to have a few good decades to make up for so many ass beatings over the years. I do like it though because it might knock us off our asses and force us to get our grit back. I have a feeling the American fighters if Europe starts to become a threat will start to become hungry and show some backbone down the road.

Most Brits that argue with you so much loathe Yanks.

I was on Skype the other day talking to an American. The first thing she said to me was ' Do you hate Americans? '

I'm not going to lie, I think about that sometimes when I talk to Europeans.
