    Heavyweights- Turn the Page

I like boxing, and I like the fighters too.
Therefore I hope that Tyson Fury (37), Anthony Joshua (35), Deontay Wilder (39), Luis Ortiz (46), Zhilei Zhang (42), Carlos Takam (44), Dillian Whyte (37), Derrick Chisora (41), Robert Helenius (41), Ike Ibeabuchi (52), Joe Joyce (39), and Oliver McCall (60!) never fight again.

It's always been a pleasure to watch them work. Every one of them.

But they are human beings who have taken enough. Some fights are just like a car wreck. I would prefer that all those guys dodge the bullet, and live out long, happy lives or as near to it as they can.

I've lived long enough to see countless eras of sport come and go across all the professional sports. Out with the old, in with the new. That 10 year block of heavyweights (2015 - 2025) is going to gain appreciation as time looks back at it. I'd bet money on it.

But I am once again, Ready to turn the page.
