The psychological battle is on - WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko gave challenger Danny Williams a copy of his autobiography at the latest press conference to promote their December 11 clash at the Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas.
Klitschko then added that he'd be glad to sign it AFTER he beats Danny next month.
The message the giant champion was sending was clear - "I'm a big star, you're not."
Klitschko told the press: "I hear that (Danny's trainer) Jim McDonnell has been reading books about me trying to find weaknesses. But he has read the wrong book - here, this is the (correct) book to read about the Klitschko brothers."
But McDonnell told DannyWilliams.tv: "That was nice of Vitali to give me something to read while Danny is out running, training to take the world title off him next month. He's a nice man. But, after reading it, plus watching all his professional fights on tape there's nothing I don't know about Vitali Klitschko. And, really, the book isn't much of a read anyway. After Danny knocks him out, I think it is only fair Danny signs it and gives it back to him."
Indeed, the first autograph from Danny as world heavyweight champion would fetch a lot of money on eBay!
