Derek Chisora is way above Dillian Whyte in terms of rankings and current prestige in the game. I personally don't think a trilogy fight between them, is the best fight for Derek Chisora. I would make Chisora a fairly strong favourite to win that fight. But what exactly does he have to gain from beating Dillian Whyte? Now that Whyte has been completely smashed up by Itauma, the significance of Whyte vs Chisora III has decreased'.
Even if Derek Chisora was to beat Dillian Whyte and avenge his two loses to him 'I would still rank his win over Joe Joyce, as a better win on his resume'.
Note: If Dillian Whyte is to continue, then here is what he should do? Be in training right now, and accumulate fitness. Don't rely on Ketogenic diets and going from 0 to 100 miles hour just for one training camp, with the idea that this will produce a great performance'.
To conclude: I am not surprised Dillian Whyte is continuing in the game 'He most likely does have better performances still within him, than his showing vs Moses Itauma. Whyte was never in the match up to win it. I never saw much ambition or optimism from him during the entire build up, that is a very vulnerable attitude to have in the heavyweight divisions against a fighter in Moses Itauma who is gathering serious momentum in his career'.
There are still solid fights out there for Dillian Whyte 'But I would back most of those fighters to beat him. Going by his recent form, even before his fight against Itauma' etc.
Whyte is a proud warrior. He does not want to go out on his shield like Michael Spinks unfortunately did and that's all we remember about Spinks. Nobody remembers he had never lost before that, had won Golden Gloves, Olympic, Light Heavyweight and Heavyweight titles. All people remember is that brutal ko in Atlantic City in 1988. Spinks tried to fight again but he had no leverage to get a suitable payday and hence gave up and quit. Losing to Tyson totally destroyed his value. Whyte also has no value now, he will have to take a small payday.
