It wasn't long ago that a fighter had to pay his dues and earn his shot at a title. Now, commentators boast that a fighter got the most titles, belts or whatever, in the minimum number of fights. Who got a pass and who had to fight his way up, was a strong element in the Leonard/Haggler rivalry, that wasn't long ago. How did it change?

It used to be that once you won a NABF title, you were ready to fight for a world title. Now that just means you are ready for gatekeepers.
Promoters and fans enable this behavior and the gravy train continues.
I remember 2 weeks ago with Emiliano Vargas obliterated his opponent in 1, won or defended the NABF. But his sissy fans here are still saying he needs more tests before challenging for a title.
