As long as we tolerate these alphabet organizations, boxing will continue to die. Crooked promoters in bed with these organizations, a lack of free television coverage. Those are major issues as well. Fighters don't get exposure and aren't brought along properly any more. Guys are fighting for belts and on ppv when no one even knows who they are. Also, it's easy to build a padded record, get a high ranking, and fight for these phony belts without ever having even faced a world class opponent. Guys like Bruce Carrington, Omar Trinidad and Albert Bell will all likely soon get "title" shots.

The crazy thing is, a few years ago, it seemed like boxing was turning a corner when Turki first emerged & we were getting Crawford/Spence, finally.

Now, it feels more hopeless than ever.

I thought Turki was going to make a big difference too! Now I look at that Canelo vs. Crawford under card, and I think nothing has changed! As long as these people can sell us these kind of cards, they will! I have adopted the habit of watching highlights and fights on YouTube, the day after fights! I will continue to do so until I get what I want!

The only thing boxing is lacking is quality broadcasting of the type HBO had, and active monolithic champions.

Crawford fights once every leap year, Usyk once per year. At least Inoue is an active champion.

The talent is there it's just being very poorly managed, the sanctioning bodies need to start enforcing their mandatories, **** or get off the pot. You can't be fighting once a year as an undisputed champion it's pathetic.

Wlad, Floyd, Manny you were guaranteed 3 fights a year. These guys complain they aren't stars when they barely fight.

There is not the quality of REAL fights to generate wonderful broadcasts. It's all phony set ups and fake events. There's no element of tension or hostility or stress or pressure in these fights now.

Floyd and Haymon changed the game in USA towards using caution & cowardice to get rich from boxing. American boxing is finished.

We can't trust Canelo vs Crawford as real yet. Canelo may have given him the fight, which he ducked in the past, because he agreed to play soft this time - for the money. Canelo makes too much money for too many people to risk losing to a 39 year old who is at the end. 50-50 this fight is real and I don't like those odds.

Boxing needs to follow the MMA model but with better pay, I thought maybe all the Saudi money would bring a similar model for boxing but it doesn't seem to be such. It's way to many belts, too many contenders , to many boxers not taking risk, milking there 0 for the right payday, let's not get started on the judging and how it always seems to be that one judge who doesn't watch the fight score no where close to the other judges or crowds opinion. Yes boxing needs a lot to be relevant past a Jake Paul fight to casuals. Casuals is whom grow the sport honestly.
