Those were two amazing, action-packed fights! Raskin is wrong about one detail: although it was called a knockdown, Jefferson didn't fall because of a punch, it seemed like an elbow caused him to slip. The fight is up in Youtube, you can see it clearly. Hell of a fight, gotta agree with Raskin about that night tho. I really liked Jefferson, he was like an angry bull in there but was also respectful of his opponents' efforts. He lost every time he stepped up sadly, his defense was simply lacking.
Maurice Harris was a great example of a guy with a spotty record who really could fight. I remember
him fighting Jeremy Williams who, by contrast, had a great looking record of like 40-1. They asked Lennox, who had had both men as sparring partners and he said’I can’t believe Jeremy’s people would be dumb enough to fight Maurice’. They were and Maurice sparked him. He could fight
