I believe Taylor's career has really been mis-managed a bit.

      Since 7/2005

      Hopkins
      Hopkins
      Wright
      Ouma
      Spinks
      Pavlik
      Pavlik
      Lacy
      Froch
      Abraham

That is 10 world class match ups in 4 years! Name another fighter that has done that without a little bit of a confidence builder fight in between. After the 2 Hopkins victories he should have been given the opportunity to take a soft guy and go home to enjoy it. Instead he gets Winky Wright. His confidence has been shattered(Pavlik) and never regained. JT should retire before he gets seriously hurt.

For what it's worth, I think he went 2-8 in the above fights anyway.

I remember him fighting Winky Wright and earning a draw simply by out hustling Winky in the 12th round. What happened?
Pavlik KO'ing him. Even in the rematch he looked a bit better, but you can tell at that point he has a tough time against aggressive punchers.

Yeah true, but he was so beloved in Arkansas he could have had a homecoming fight. I think the issue was that he was DiBella's only cash cow at the time and he got rode hard and fast

Sometimes that first KO loss is something some people simply cannot recover from. And look at taylor, he's lost 4 of his last 5 fights. He's broken.
he's lost to basically the same type of fighter everytime, I strong guy who could hit hard and do so for 12 rounds. I don't think he's damaged, he's the same fighter he always was. It also doesn't help that Jermain is tight everytime he fights, he seems nervous and jittery in his movements. That leads to him gassing out quicker too.
