Who is the Fighter of the Year so far in 2009?

There's less than 2.5 months to go in the year.

Who would you choose as Fighter of the Year so far in 2009?

It seems a trickier question than usual.

What about Vitali Klitschko? Jean Pascal? Brian Viloria?

doesn't matter who it is now, after Pacquiao beats Cotto he'll surely get FOTY again.

The winner of Pacquiao-Cotto will have a strong case with the win over Hatton respectively Clottey...

          Manny Pacman IMO

The way he KO'd Hatton was amazing

If Pacquiao beats Cotto, he will likely win it this year.

If i was to pick someone else, I would pick Vitali if he wins in December.

Depends on how Manny-Cotto plays out, but if Manny wins in impressive fashion it would most likely be him.

If Pacquiao wins, I agree. Especially if he wins impressively, as he did against Hatton.

But Cotto is fighting someone moving up from a smaller weight division, and although he narrowly won against Clottey, he was not impressive in that fight.

Vitali's 2 wins over Arreola and Gomez aren't Fighter of the year caliber. I would be more likely to give the nod to Adamek than Vitali. 3 wins, 2 KOs, and he won the Ring Magazine title.
