Spinks never should have given him that rematch

You're right. Spinks won fair and square the first time around. And, with the fight being in his hometown, it seemed that Spinks was not as focused and perhaps was also overconfident against an opponent that you should never let your guard down against. I still remember that silly entry he had into the boxing ring with Nelly.

The problem with Judah was more than anything a mental problem. Zab was unable to settle down and get into a real boxing flow under the big lights. In terms of pure talent and physical gifts, he was at the level of Mayweather, but it's more than the sum of the parts, and what really holds all of those parts together is discipline and intelligence. What he did against Nady was a sign that he was just average in those departments.

But when he was on, he could have really beaten anyone.

i blame zab for mayweather going into full duck mode. floyd knew he was cherry picking an exposed zab who couldnt even beat a bum journeyman...and floyd still struggled and lost 4 rounds while getting dropped. that mental realization made him turtle up and is probably why we never got the elite fights against guys like margarito, cotto, pac. he told himself well if i struggle against a guy like zab i dont have much chance against actual elite fighters. a very realistic and sober analyzation by floyd. he certainly understood boxing as well as anyone and what he could or couldnt do

Yeah, Zab's mental appeared to be his achilles heel. He appears to combust when things don't go his way, however his Tszyu loss turned into the highlight of his career. A highlight he wishes that he could forget.

Randomly watched Judah vs Baldomir last week, no idea how Zab lost that one. Should’ve boxed circles around him. The Welterweight title was like a hot potato in the 2000’s.

I think he over-achieved by a considerable margin.

People act like he's Rolly Romero or something but the man won the undisputed welterweight championship of the world and also had three separate world title runs at 140.

He was lightning fast but had terrible stamina.

Honestly he should have froids 0. Froid shoulda been disqualified for his uncle jumping inside the ring to pick a fight.

Molina got disqualified for his trainer just setting up the stool for his corner 3 seconds early against Kirkland.

The reason Floyd didn't get disqualified is because his uncle entered the ring during a stoppage. Still not allowed, and that's why he was ejected, but he didn't jump into the ring during live action. If he had that's an instant DQ.
