Comments Thread For: The Beltline: The most interesting Oleksandr Usyk fight being discussed is the one that cannot happen
If it wasn?t enough for Oleksandr Usyk to beat every heavyweight around him, it could be argued that his greatness lies in the lengths to which people go to create a challenge for him

jones v usyk is not that interesting unless u want smaller roy battling bigger usyk just for the sake of it seems to me if u want to match up their primes somehow
Exactly, and now that the Brits don't have a horse in the race they want to hobble everyone else that does, while they groom Moses for the promised land.
Usyk didn't beat EVERY heavyweight around him, just the over-hyped British ones their promoters lined up for him.
He didn't beat Wilder, Zhang, Parker or Kabayel.
Notice the pattern there ? They aren't flawed and fragile U.K bums!
I get that Great Britain doesnt have a heavyweight champ or a legit contender now, but there's no need to shït on others from elsewhere that do.
See this is what I hate about boxing "fans." You're seriously calling Joshua and Fury (both multiple time World Champions) "flawed and fragile U.K. bums?" Not everyone can be Muhammad Ali but I think that's a little harsh, especially from someone who probably scrubs toilets at their 9-5 every day. They both gave Usyk two great fights apiece. NO ONE is the same again after the beatings Fury and Wilder gave each other in their 3 fights. Fury definitely took some damage and lost some punch resistance. Wilder was pretty much completely done after that. Usyk is very very special and has grown into the heavyweight division in a way many didn't think was possible. And amazing skills aside, his throwback humble gentleman attitude and sense of humor, and his love for his family and Jesus Christ make it very difficult not to love the guy regardless of who you are. Doesn't make everyone else a P.O.S. all of a sudden. In case you were living under a rock, at the time, Joshua, Fury and Dubois all had belts. Wilder, Zhang, Parker and Kabayel didn't and don't and didn't achieve the things that those "fragile UK bums" (Fury and Joshua especially) achieved.

Wilder, Zhang, Parker are not flawed? Lol
Wilder is a shadow of a guy who used to punch hard
Zhang only has 6 rounds in him (unless he faces Parker who can't knock out a fly)
Parker has no chin and is just a potshotter now since Joyce destroyed him like a ragdoll.
Kabayel the only one who hasn't shown flaws yet, but time will tell.

People underestimate the damage Fury took in those wilder fights, down 5 times I believe? Against the hardest puncher in the division.
