Boxing is a blue collar sport. They lost that audience by making every fight an $80 PPV. Now instead of weekly fights, there are quarterly cards. The next decent fight isn’t until September. That’s no way to build an audience. It’s kind of over for this sport.

UFC does a PPV almost every month and people don't have a problem paying for them, because UFC is committed to quality. Their PPV events have 12 all day long fights and usually about half of them are pretty good.

With boxing for the past 15 years, you got a bunch of completely one-sided showcases in the prelims and then it was a miracle if you got two good fights on the main card.

The Turki cards are an improvement, but only because he's lighting money on fire. The networks and promoters in boxing just ran the sport into the ground.
