That's bs he got high profile fights damn near his whole career. Fought everybody except for Floyd Floyd was scared of him backed out of fighting him plus Margarito had him shook on video

You're posting a 5 minute highlight video or an 11-round fight. This isn't showing anything. And no...rounds 1-6 weren't 'all Cotto'...go back and watch the fight. Am I saying Margarito won any of those rounds? Not really, but close rounds exist for a reason. Cotto was getting walked down and yes....Margarito's punches were landing.

We can't say Cotto 'wasted energy with unnecessary bouncing around' when he was being physically and mentally worn down from Margarito's pressure and landed punches. And winning the first half of the fight doesn't mean much if said fighter gets stopped in the championship rounds.

Yeah and no. If he felt he could trade with him then he wouldn't have used the ring as much. I believe he felt Margarito would bend at some point and that never happened. Cotto was a 'big puncher' at WW but he was mainly known for his hook to the body...a punch he failed to utilize when he needed it most.

Fair enough but still no clue as to what your argument is.

OK maybe a no contest is not achievable for cotto. But in a country like America where people sue for less than nothing and sue for a living. I just dont understand how a undefeated champion didn't seek legal consulting on taking Margarito to civil court. That man took his zero and could had left permanent damage to him. There was beyond reasonable evidence that Margarito cheated. After the Mosley lost Margarito never achieve anything meaningful and theirs a statement from the state investigator that those wraps was used before. In civil court you can call witness and even ask for lie detector test. Now court in America isnt cheap but I just think his handlers probably just wanted to get money for a rematch rather then go to court but my thing is. Taking someone to court is more than just money. It sets a tone for people and future people you will be held accountable for things that you do that are wrong.

I had to go to civil court for damages I found I found 5 months after I brought a property. It was water damage. I gather paperwork, witness statement and expert opinions. For prior damages. Now court isnt cheap. Now the lawyer stated it would cost more to try to case then what I would actually win. Now cotto's team probably felt the same but if he did do it. It would stop alot of future boxers for cheating in the future if they knew they would be taken to court. We keep seeing boxers tearing postive and etc with no repercussions but if they get that court slip in the mail they would start to think differently trying to cheat.
