This doesnt merit a title shot, just the opposite. Even if Espinoza was a name, it was too short. Vargas needs more polishing before he jumps into the deep end. This looked good but zero benefit.

This is an absolute farce!! Flores last night fought a war against an unbeaten fighter where both fighters put it all out there and Steven Navarro put it all out that against a war machine today in a fever pitched battle and now Vargas fights a 34 year old fighter with no power and a number of losses! Vargas must have a major Achilles heel that they are hiding by putting him in against a no-hoper. Unacceptable matchmaking for Vargas, ESPECIALLY when Flores and his opponent and Navarro and his opponent put everything on the line with their solid records! That's 4 fighters not being protected like Vargas is.

Not saying it was a dive but that didn't look like a shot where the guy couldn't get up, he probably wanted ez money.

Watch it again as well as the post fight examination, Espinoza possibly broke his eye socket on that shot. They were giving a ton of attention to his left eye after the fight.

I think that Emiliano has the potential to rule whatever weight division he decides to compete in , within reason. He has passed the eye test with flying colors and it's time to let him off of the leash. With 15 fights , he's either who he seems to be , or he isn't and it's time to see which it's going to be. I believe that the sky is the limit . I really hope that his team starts upping his level of competition starting with his next fight. I'd hate to see the kid stagnate , or get to a title fight without the requisite experiences and fall apart.

I'm not sure what Emiliano did to get the hate .Personally what I saw is a young fighter that seems to have its all. If he has a chin all he needs is experience.
