Good to see that after a lot of struggle and sacrifice, he can now have a family home with two high profile fights. It shows you what these guys are working for. It reminds me when I read an interview with Martin Bakole - after the Parker fight, when he was destroyed in two rounds, he was over the moon. His family's future was secured, they had a home, which means the sacrifices and risks he took were worthed. In his book he already achieved his goals.
Rooting for Jorge Perez, most would had given up after getting multiple controversial split losses outside of Carlos Ocampo 10 years ago. Yet here he is turning his life around just fighting for a title shot, win or lose.
Think he has shown adaptability making adjustments mid way through the fight against Conwell. And knows how to use his reach well, whether it is countering, measuring distance, slinging varied shots to the body or landing lead hands when opponents try to slip away. He is like larger and longer Johnny Gonzalez.
