I don't remember a whole lot of success that Dubois' had in the first fight aside from the borderline **** ruled a low blow. Didn't really see alot of success in the second fight either.
Sometimes it's just as simple as your opponent is better than you and a bad matchup for you.

Agreed. There's no need to make it a complex psychoanalysis. The reason was obvious to everybody who saw the fight.
I agree with Johnny here, but Fury and AJ both did better 2nd fight...
AJ did better in the second fight. I am not sure Fury did. Fury's best rounds in both fights were the first half of the first fight where it looked like he was going to dominate Usyk. In the second fight Fury was too tentative, gun shy, you could argue he was triggered by what Usyk was going to do to him.

Agreed, apart from the low blow which Dubois and his team have been dining out on for 2 years he lost every second of every round from what I remember.

It's strange how boxing works sometimes, styles make fights, or the style the fighter deploys in the fight.
Of course, you can fight different styles in one fight. AJ got brutally KO'd by Dubois, but did better than Daniel against Usyk.
Joshua hurt Usyk badly in one round in the rematch, but couldn't put him away.
Yeah I feel like AJ is underrated as a boxer. He’s now mentally gone, gunshy and has always been a bit stiff with a small tank (from his bulk).
But the guy could work his reach, set traps and follow a game plan. He’s also not like the other punchers where he waits for the one big shot. He’s always trying to win rounds. Dubois is actually more robotic imo, lower IQ but is more of a natural fighter the way he tries to steamroll people.
