Is Usyk better than Golovkin ever was?

For years GGG was billed as this monster, but when Canelo stepped to him he showed he wasn’t as effective on the back foot.

Is Usyk a more advanced fighter than GGG ever was?

Both were perfect fighters, both goats. Golovkin had to play soft with Canelo to get the big money. He would have slaughtered Canelo like he did in sparring in LA but Canelo makes too much money for too many people and so GGG had to throw all three fights by playing soft. But he made a fortune in doing so. You can clearly see GGG played soft on Canelo and pulled and pushed punches. GGG was a perfect fighter like Usyk.

Yes. Golovkin’s resume was never good enough that he could be considered the top p4p boxer in the sport like Usyk is.

Golovkin was beating bums. Worse, certain posters latched on to him for non boxing reasons.

Usyk has consistently fought the best challenger available during his unifying 2 divisions. He has literally cleaned out both during his ascension.

He deserves the upmost respect for that.

Not throw the fights, but agree to agree with Canelo's promtoion and the " judges " past his prime. No way does Canelo face a prime GGG. He waited for years to pass and GGG to age ... and he was on PED's

Usyk is consensus #1. I think that holds more weight than Ring at that time when ODH owned it.

But you make a fair point.

Don’t leave out other part- GGG was beating up bums.

You clearly don’t know Usyk’s resume which isn’t surprising. I agree he beat Canelo in the first two fights.

So yeah, that would put him at the top l.
