Is DAZN's attempt to nudge people on to a subscription using PPV a bad strategy?

The Usyk - Dubois PPV is being distributed exclusively by DAZN in the UK and there are two options for buying it:

£25 ($33) with a 7-day 'free trial' with £15 being charged at the end of that for a regular monthly subscription cancellable any time.

£15 ($20) if you commit to a year subscription paid monthly.

In each instance they are attempting to nudge people on to a subscription. Beside being unscrupulous, with it likely some people will forget to cancel the 'free trial', will this deter some people from buying in the first place?
