He was a great fighter and gave his all to the sport. I sent a few dollars. Hope more people can help. Curry deserves better. I know many of you are fans and are also generous guys.
Jake or Oscar or Canelo or Sugar Ray Leonard or even Spence his fellow Texan could buy him a damn house without batting an eye! A new decent motor home even for $100K.
Once again I will donate without making sick comments that are not needed, He's a brother in a sense of boxing not color one in which we must aid and assist and my prayer is that many others will find it in their heart to give as well! God bless this brother hood forever and ever, Amen!
I pray everything will go better for him. He was a world class fighter and champion.
Boxing really doesn't take care of their fighters for life after boxing, in terms of a fund for them to have access to for living and medical expenses covered.
I agree that more should be done within the hardest game to look after those that fall on hard times, but you would need a heart of stone not to give a few quid for Don Curry. There was a time when he was considered P4P the best in the world. When he dismantled Colin Jones and Milton McCrory he just was so sweet. Honeyghan was a spiteful guy, which sadly, is what boxing demands. He didn’t beat Curry, he ruined and destroyed him.
Pisses me off how there's so many millionaires in boxing yet whenever there one of these former champs in trouble it's us no marks who have to dig in our pockets.
Another reason not to worship these millionaire stars.

The Saudis easily could pick up this bill and it would be the equivalent of throwing less than a penny in the charity water fountain in the local mall.
Great fighter of the past, You should say he's an illegal alian and I'm sure they will give him the proper care-he paid his share let him reap some of the returns he paid in from his purses !
Bob Arum? Nope. Mickey Duff's people? Nope. Ben Shalom? Nope. Not gonna loosen the grip on one shekel....
Regular everyday fans will, and that says a lot.
