What’s with all the interim champions all of a sudden?

The purpose of an interim champ is to keep the weight class moving while the real champion is out and inactive for an extended period of time due to injury or some other legitimate reason.

Usyk has 3 out of the 4 belts at heavyweight, he just fought in December, and he has a fight scheduled this month against the guy that has the 4th belt at heavyweight. No extended inactivity…no injury recovery…none of that.

So how is it that Fabio Wardley is the WBA interim champion? Agit Kabayel is the WBC interim champion? And Joseph Parker is the WBO interim champion? These corrupt slimy goons just found another way to collect sanctioning fees.
