  • How Do You See the Future of Boxing in the Streaming Era?

    Hey everyone,

I’ve been a boxing fan for years, and lately I’ve been thinking about how much the sport has changed with all these new streaming platforms. Back in the day, we had HBO, Showtime, and the occasional big PPV event. Now we have DAZN, ESPN+, Amazon buying rights, and a bunch of fights being scattered all over the place.

Some say it’s good because we get more fights and global exposure. Others say it’s too fragmented now — hard to follow, and the best fighters don’t always meet because of network politics.

    What’s your take?
    • Do you like how streaming is shaping the sport?
    • Is it helping fighters get paid more or just making the sport harder to follow?
    • And do you think boxing will benefit long-term from this shift?

Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts — especially fans who’ve been watching since the cable/Premier Boxing Champions days.

    Thanks in advance

Pbc was originally as "boxing back on free tv" which didn't last long. Same with dazn "ppv is dead".

Wanna know what they both did wrong? Over pay tf out of their fighters and for the most part against weak opponents! Then when a threat comes along theyre gonna want even more.

That's why Saudi is coming thru with fights we wouldn't have got made.

Streaming is fine if it's on Netflix or maybe hulu but the former is way more popular.

Boxing overall needs a channel whether its regular TV or basic cable to showcase and build an audience. Not to mention boxing isnt really that popular anymore.
