Calzaghe did the octopus thing with Jones as well, and other fighters. He tends to do that **** when the opponent is running, trying to bat them into position. Calzaghe fans will probably have noticed this, or anyone who's seen a good number of his fights. I've seen all but maybe 3.

Taking a 3 second gif from a 36 minute fight doesn't tell the story. I understand it's good for a chuckle, but it wears thin eventually. Anyone can take a couple of seconds where a fighter looks less than stellar, or even downright ******, and blow it out of proportion. But at the end of the day, to use a Calzaghe-ism, I don't see Slappy Joe losing to any current super middleweights and I think he deserved the nod over Hopkins.

Nobody, even if they hate Joe Calzaghe, should compare him to Carl Froch, their styles are far, far apart and Calzaghe is in a whole different class. Both happen to have fought against some of the most elusive fighters in the business, so you gotta expect them to miss when the opponent gets on his bike.
