BTW did you mention stamina as his key to victory?

Think about that one if we're talking money here. If it goes to the cards, I don't see Cotto getting the nod. Miguel has to knock Manny out.

Why, it's all true. Nothing there everyone doesn't already know, but no one has been able to use it properly yet.

I don't know, I don't have the key to beating Manny. Every time I think of a way Cotto might be effective it's countered by something Pacquiao does effectively.

What Cotto needs to do take away Manny's best asset early on -- speed (of hand and foot). He could have success in a couple of ways -- go to the body early, or employ good timing. Ideally he would focus on both. The problem is, Cotto's money shot is his left hand to the body. Obviously, as he's throwing that punch he is open to be countered upstairs with a Pacquiao right hand. That hand has become powerful over the last few years, as witnessed especially against Hatton who was on the canvas after only two minutes in the ring.

As for timing, Cotto's quite good at this but it's hard to time an unorthodox fighter who doesn't stick to at least a semi-repetitive rhythm. As a drummer, I look at a fighters' rhythm and timing a lot. Pacquiao's rhythm is irregular and syncopated.

People break this fight down too simplistically. "Duh... Cott's too powerful". It's like they have no awareness that winning a fight is also about the invisible attributes, such as mental strength, heart and will. These play a bigger part than most of us realize, and I feel Pacquiao is in a good place right now, mentally. I'm not 100% sure about Cotto. Has he faded since the Margarito fight? Very possible. He's been in tough wars recently, whereas Manny has gone through his last three opponents like a hot knife through butter. Cotto had a rough time with Clottey, and Pacquiao almost killed the champ at 140 for almost five years within 6 minutes. Look at Taylor, he's lost all confidence since the Pavlik fight.

Lastly (sorry for the long post), Cottto is left-hand dominant... as were Hatton and Oscar. Advantage: Pacquiao. Miguel better watch out for that right hand.

FAIL!!!!! Cotto isnt even a quarter of the fighter DLH was.

I think Joe knows some idea of what are the weakness of Manny. But he shouldn't have said it in front of the media. But I think it doesn't really matter at all if said all the weakness of Manny to cotto's team.

But I think Team pacquiao is already working on it. Manny can learn and we all see it in his recent fights. Hope Manny will pull this off.
