I would have liked to see Mielnicki shift up and go for the stoppage , it's not like he had anything to worry about from Gardzielik. We could have just picked a random round and watched it ten times . Mielnicki showed some nice boxing but there was zero suspense in the fight. It was a lame watch . The young girl, Lisandra Contreras I believe her name is , the one making her debut was really impressive. She was hitting the body like an experienced Mexican pro. She is really talented and a hard puncher looking to do damage.

Vito needs an effective strength and conditioning program. He’s going to have to get these types of guys out of there or he needs to look for a new line of work

I did not watch it. I could not get through the prelims. ESPN's production quality and commentary has went down the tubes. You can't hear the fight, the crowd, or anything except for the howling commentary in waves. I couldn't hang. I never turn off fights. This was a first. Wow!

I only watched the Simpson/Tucker fight and thought the audio levels and camera work were atrocious. Couldn't really deal with 3 commentators at once. In between rounds the camera would pan up to the ring girls neck.

            – Had a surprisingly solid day in Newark, Zoo Jersey, and another good time at the fights at the Prudential Center.
            – Was in Newark by 1:15pm, and found an outstanding Spanish restaurant called Forno’s of Spain.
            – Place was big, classy, and expensive.
            – Haven’t had Spanish food in a long time so I decided to splurge on myself since the future ex-wife-stoppo will be taking half of everything I own in a few months.
            – Had a bottle of wine at the bar plus a glass of Sangria which put me on my ass.
            – Met a nice black family (mother and two adult sons) at the bar and we laughed our butts off.
            – Food at Forno’s was so good that I would take the train again to Newark just to eat there.
            – Long walk to the Prudential Center in the summer heat.
            – In my seat at 5:15pm for the first untelevised undercard bout.
            – Took me a minute to figure out why I was seeing 4 fighters in the ring plus two refs.
            – Thought I was watching Boxing’s version of the “Battle Royale”.
            – Realized that I was so plastered that I was seeing double.
            – Not sure how that event made any money, as the Pru Center was fairly empty for the entire card.
            – Left before the main event started, was on the 10:30pm train home, and walked thru the door at 1am totally exhausted.
            – Next live boxing event for me is July 11th to see Katie Taylor / Amanda Serrano 3 at Madison Square Garden in NYC.
            – Not a big fan of women’s boxing but this is a historical event as the entire card is female, plus this will be my first time at the big room at MSG.
            – Staying in and recovering today, Sunday, 6/22.
            – Tough being 60 years old and partying like it’s 1999………………..
