Round 6 to Dirrell as well, probably Froch's most effective round of the fight, managing to have the most success he's had all fight but wasn't enough to win the round to me, Dirrell still landing the better shots. But I can see why people would give this round to Froch, just because Froch did better. So right now I have it 60-54 Dirrell. I don't really like to score even rounds so some that do probably have it closer.Comment

Your one the posters who's opinion i really respect and this is why. Dirrell clearly took at least 4 of the first 5 rounds on clean punching.Comment

He lost the boxing match but won the fight. Plain and simple! this is'nt ametuer boxing. We pay to watch fighters fight not score points. I'm a stocky 5'6 guy and when I'm sparring I can get cute like that whenever I feel like it. So Dirrell doing it does'nt impress me at all. I want to see them fight to see who's the better fighter. I did'nt even need to watch this fight to know that dirrell is the better boxer. Who does'nt know that? I don't think dirrell is ready for a tournament like this. This takes real men to this kind of thing. too bad they won't let dirrell go back to the ametuers.Comment

Round 7 is the first round I gave to Froch. Dirrell did pretty well but became pretty negative, started punching and grabbing, Froch landed some good little shots on the inside or when Dirrell was pulling away. Dirrell showing his inexperience complaining to the referee, complaining too much, got hit in the process. 69-64 Dirrell.
Sidenote, Dirrell complained to the referee about rabbit punches and the referee said to him to quit holding and that this is a fight? So the ref doesn't see anything wrong with rabbit punches. How nice.Comment

I had it closer, 115-112 Dirrell, and could even have understood a 114-113 Dirrell. I could have understood a draw since it was in his hometown, but I cant agree, even a little bit, with 115-112 Froch.
I am bummed that this is how the tournament started off.Comment

No he seen something wrong with Dirrell being picked for this sort of tournament. He seen something wrong with Dirrells unwillingness to fight.Round 7 is the first round I gave to Froch. Round 8 could've gone either way to me. I gave it to Froch because he landed that one big left hook at the end of the round that seemed to shake Dirrell up a little bit but I thought Dirrell was winning the round up to that point so I can see why some would give it to Dirrell. Referee should be warning Froch more for rough tactics. Dude trained to intentionally butt Dirrell. 78-74 Dirrell.Comment

An unbiased look at the fight.
I'm rewatching Froch vs Dirrell. I'm 2 rounds in and I have Froch up 1 round and 1 round even. When I watched it on Saturday I was a little bit buzzed and I obviously was'nt watching the fight properly. I had Dirrell up 2 rounds going into the 3rd when I watch on Saturday.
The 3rd was even but it could have gone to Froch for having to press the fight. The 4th round is Dirrells round but the crowd is board and dirrells making it a boring fight. Spoilers should'nt be allowed in the tourney. Anyway going into the 5th I have 2 even and 1 round a piece.
Dirrell won round 5. Froch took round 6 mostly because Dirrell started playing games and falling around everywhere. The fights dead even going into the 7th.
Froch won the 7th just based on Dirrells whining and complaining and holding and unwillingness to engage. If dirrell just would've fought instead of trying to fight with all these special effects he would've won every round so far.
Dirrell easily won the first half of the 8th but Froch landed the more meaningful punches in the second half. Also Dirrels holding and unwillingness to fight and falling down on his own lost him the round. Froch's round. Froch's up 2 rounds going into the 9th.
Round 9 Dirrell made Froch pretty much miss everything he threw but thats all he did he did'nt throw punches himself. Froch's round again. Froch is up 3 going into the 10th
Dirrell wins the first half of the round again and then starts holding again. He gets deducted a point for all the holding. Froch gets buckled at the end of the round but comes back strong to finnish the round. Froch's round it could've maybe been a 10-8 round but I scored it 10-9 because Froch got rocked. Froch up 4 rounds going into the 11th.
Dirrell fought a perfect round 11 and won it for sure. If only he could fight like that the whole fight. Then again Froch is a little tired now and only now does Dirrell try to engage. Dirrells round. Froch still up 3
Dirrell took the 12th. Froch wins by 2 points. Thats it, thats the fight. I've completely changed my decision since Saturday. What an ugly fight!Comment
