Bad move there by DLSamtos imo. He had guy there prepared to look out for, protect his health, and he goes elsewhere.

Edwin needs to rethink things. He got protected and got a check. Sampson did right by him.

Only thing that makes sense is TR went behind closed doors and told him they will reschedule the fight if he gets rid of Sampson.

That would explain the generosity of the payment they gave him.

But half??? The fight fell through.... I understand and agree that Lewkowics should get a fee or percentage, but I feel 50% is awfully steep and might have been the reason DLS decided to break from him.

DLS wound up getting paid way less than what he would have made fighting. I highly doubt he would have won, but he always had a puncher's chance and anything can happen up on that ring. By not fighting he ended up losing a big portion of what he was gonna make and a chance at winning a title....
