He's blew weight by 3% not only that he's allegedly tried to make weight so whats he going to rehydrate to, 165!? like Haney, perhaps more!? (unlikely).

But you've got to understand it's far worse why people are dehydrating themselves to make weight.

Not only do people sometimes die making cuts, it's extremely dangerous during the fight because of lack of hydration around the brain and Davis just gets to skip out on it or not be as severely dehydrated as his opponent giving him a huge advantage.

This issue is even more profound in the modern era because they weigh in 36 hours before the fight giving fighters plenty of time to rehydrate, further exacerbating extreme cuts and the advantage that come from rehydrating.

Yeah they have, the know what their opponent weigh and they don't have to worry about weight cutting and people coming in multiple divisions above them in weight without prior knowledge.

Why do so many fighters, maybe more nowadays, try to squeeze into a lower weight and drain themselves?

Obviously to try to gain an advantage, not to say be a weight bully, if the opponents are doing the exact same thing. But yeah, fight at a more natural weight dude, otherwise missing weight by a lot looks unprofessional.

Oh it's most definitely to be a weight bully not everyone can deal with the migraines, light sensitivity, stress, fatigue, starvation etc etc of cutting weight as harshly as other fighters for the advantages.

so some fighters like Kovalev fought more closely to their natural weight and barely put on 4% of their weight after hydrating, he weighed 180 and 182 respectively for the rematch against Eleider Alvarez and the fight with Yarde.

Funnily enough the 4% of his body weight is extremely close to the amount KD has just blew the weight by.

They don't care about weight because, for some DAF reason, they are let off the hook.

I've already explained to you the difference one is accepting the difference in weight up front, the other doesn't know the difference in weight and could literally be dealing with multiple divisions difference...

Prograis vs Haney is a perfect example they both weighed in at 140 but come fight night one was a super welter and the other came in as a super middleweight...

Also 30 lbs to an average heavyweight is less than 13%, plenty of people rehydrate that.

The fact that Arum publicly admitted that he doesn't believe Keyshawn even tried to make weight, is crazy! I'm glad Samson pulled De Los Santos out of the fight! Best way to get revenge is hitting Keyshawn in the pocket! Bill Haney should've done the same! Hindsight is 20/20!
